Zircon Host provides web hosting services to clients in Sri Lanka, and we have a responsibility to protect each client and to provide the best services available. All clients who use services of Zircon Host are subject to the following terms of service:

Billing & Refund Policy

ZirconHost offers hosting services on both monthly and annual billing cycles, depending on the selected hosting plan.
Due to the nature of the hosting industry and the costs associated with provisioning, licensing, server allocation, and ongoing service maintenance, all payments are non-refundable. We do not provide full or pro-rated refunds under any circumstances. All sales are final.

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Credit Cards
  • Debit Cards
  • Mobile Wallets
  • Wire / Bank Transfers
There is no minimum contract period for any of our hosting plans. Clients may choose to renew their services at the end of each billing cycle.By purchasing any service from ZirconHost, you acknowledge and agree to this Billing & Refund Policy.


Late Payments - Shared & Reseller Hosting

All renewal invoices are generated based on the original service activation date and are due on the date specified in the invoice.

If payment is not received:

  • The service will be automatically suspended on the 3rd day after the due date.
  • A late payment fee of LKR 500.00 will be added if payment is not received by the 7th day after the due date.
  • The service will be permanently terminated on the 25th day after the due date if the outstanding balance remains unpaid.
To restore a suspended service, the client must pay the full outstanding invoice amount, including any applicable late fees.

If there are any outstanding or overdue invoices on the account, the client will not be permitted to downgrade, upgrade, or change hosting packages until all pending balances have been fully settled.

ZirconHost is not responsible for any data loss resulting from service suspension or termination due to non-payment.


Late Payments - Domains

All domain renewal invoices are generated based on the original domain registration or activation date and are due on the specified due date indicated in the invoice.

If payment is not received by the due date:

  • The domain may be suspended or deactivated immediately on the due date, as per system settings and registry policies.
  • A late fee of LKR 500.00 will be added to the invoice.
  • If the domain is renewed during the grace period, an additional LKR 500.00 grace renewal fee will be added to the invoice.
The full outstanding amount, including any applicable late or grace fees, must be paid to reactivate the domain.

If payment is not made within 30 days after the due date, the domain may be permanently deleted and released by the registry. Once deleted, the domain cannot be recovered, and ZirconHost will not be responsible for any loss resulting from such deletion.


Cancellation & Refund Policy

ZirconHost reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or restrict access to any account or service at any time, with or without prior notice, if a client violates our Terms of Service, applicable laws, or engages in activities that may harm our infrastructure, reputation, staff, or other clients.

Any abuse, harassment, threats, or inappropriate behavior toward our staff — whether via email, ticket, phone, social media, or any other communication medium — will result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of services without refund.

Due to the nature of the hosting industry and the costs associated with provisioning, licensing, server allocation, and ongoing maintenance, ZirconHost does not offer refunds or money-back guarantees. All sales are final.

No refunds will be issued for:

  • Abuse case reactivation fees
  • Administrative fees
  • Custom software installation fees
  • Domain name registrations, renewals, or transfers
  • Any third-party services or add-ons
By purchasing services from ZirconHost, you acknowledge and agree to this Cancellation & Refund Policy.


Backup Policy

ZirconHost performs weekly remote backups for all Linux Shared Hosting and Linux Reseller Hosting accounts. Backups are scheduled every Wednesday at 12:00 AM (midnight).

Please note the following conditions:

  • Only one (1) backup copy is retained at any given time.
  • Any hosting account consuming more than 3GB of disk space will be excluded from the weekly backup process.
  • Accounts exceeding the 3GB limit will not be backed up at all.
  • ZirconHost does not provide backups for VPS hosting accounts.
Backups are provided as a courtesy service only and are not guaranteed. Clients are solely responsible for maintaining their own independent backups of all website files, databases, emails, and other data.

ZirconHost shall not be held liable for any data loss under any circumstances.


Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

ZirconHost provides hosting services to clients worldwide. To ensure service quality, network stability, and security for all customers, this Acceptable Use Policy outlines prohibited activities and usage restrictions.

ZirconHost shall be the sole authority in determining what constitutes a violation of this policy.

1. General Use

All services provided by ZirconHost may be used for lawful purposes only. The transmission, storage, or distribution of any content that violates applicable local or international laws is strictly prohibited. The client agrees to indemnify and hold ZirconHost harmless from any claims, damages, or legal actions resulting from misuse of services.

2. Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited, including but not limited to:

  • Unlicensed or pirated software
  • Cracking programs, key generators, hacking tools
  • High-Yield Investment Programs (HYIPs)
  • Child exploitation material or any form of pornography
  • Kidnapping or violent material
  • Fraud, phishing, impersonation, pyramid schemes, chain letters
  • Terrorist propaganda, racist or hate speech content
  • Bomb or weapon manufacturing instructions
  • Malware, spyware, viruses, or malicious scripts
  • Copyright-infringing materials (movies, games, software, etc.)
  • Torrent, warez, or file-sharing websites
  • IRC servers, bots, psyBNC, or related software
  • Game servers or voice servers
  • Scripts designed for abuse, flooding, or attacks
  • Adult content websites, dating sites, hacking forums
  • Links directing to prohibited content

3. Network & Online Activity

Any attempt to compromise or harm ZirconHost’s infrastructure, network, operations, or clients is strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Denial of Service (DoS/DDoS) attacks
  • Port scanning
  • Mail bombing
  • Spam or unsolicited advertising
  • Unauthorized system access or hacking

ZirconHost reserves the right to pursue legal action and may impose financial penalties for damages caused.

4. Audio/Video Streaming

Shared and reseller hosting plans are not designed for streaming services. Hosting or distributing audio/video streaming content is prohibited. Violating accounts may be suspended or terminated without notice.

5. Large File Policy

ZirconHost hosting services are not intended for file storage or distribution.

Clients may not host files larger than 50MB intended primarily for download, including but not limited to:

  • .ISO files
  • Audio or video files
  • Executable (.EXE) files

Additionally, storing the following archive formats is prohibited:

  • *.zip
  • *.tar
  • *.tar.gz
  • *.wpress

Files violating this policy may be automatically removed without notice.

6. Free Domain Extensions

Free domain extensions are not permitted on ZirconHost servers for security reasons.

7. Bulk Email Policy

Spamming or unsolicited advertising from the ZirconHost network is strictly prohibited.

The maximum allowed outgoing email limit is 50 emails per hour per hosting account. Violation may result in immediate suspension.

8. Unauthorized Usage & Security Responsibility

Clients are fully responsible for securing their accounts, websites, and applications. If unauthorized parties exploit a hosting account:

  • The client must immediately resolve the issue.
  • ZirconHost may suspend services until the issue is corrected.
  • Excessive resource usage caused by abuse may result in additional charges.

9. Resource Usage

Accounts causing excessive server load or consuming resources beyond allocated limits may be suspended immediately without prior notice.

10. Anti-Nulled Scripts Policy

The use of nulled, pirated, or unauthorized premium scripts, themes, or plugins is strictly prohibited.

  • The account will be immediately suspended.
  • The client must provide valid proof of purchase.
  • Failure to provide proof may result in permanent termination.

ZirconHost reserves the right to audit installations at any time.

11. Abusive Client Conduct

ZirconHost reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for abusive or harassing behavior toward staff.

  • Verbal abuse or threats
  • Continuous disregard for warnings
  • Spamming support systems
  • Chargebacks or reversed payments
  • Repeated late payments
  • Activity affecting other clients

12. Policy Audits & Violations

ZirconHost may audit accounts at any time for policy compliance. No backup will be provided for accounts found violating this policy.

13. Policy Violation Charges

If a client violates this policy for the second time, a reactivation service charge between LKR 1,000.00 and LKR 5,000.00 may be applied.

14. Suspension & Termination

Failure to comply with this policy may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination without prior notice.

If an account is terminated due to policy violations:

  • All advance payments are forfeited
  • No refunds will be issued

Disclaimer

ZirconHost shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or business interruptions that may arise from the use of our services. All services are provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

ZirconHost expressly disclaims any and all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. This includes, without limitation, any loss of data, revenue, or business resulting from delays, service interruptions, non-delivery, misdelivery, system failures, or actions taken by ZirconHost, its employees, or third-party service providers.

ZirconHost reserves the right to modify, amend, or update its Terms of Service, Refund Policy, pricing, and service offerings at any time, with or without prior notice. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any such changes.
